The Customer was using the traditional Vertical Glandless Pump to transfer Acidic Waste Water from the Pit

- Pump Type Used: Vertical Glandless Pump
- Flow Rate: 20 m3/hr
- Head: 15 m
Concerns of the Customer
- Frequent Failures of Cast Iron Components due to Corrosion
- Consistent Priming required to be done
- Due to Acidic liquid, frequent failure of the foot valve
- Overflow line was leaking and it was increasing maintenance
- Connect Load for Power was 7.5 HP
- Since it was connected for waste water, pump was required to run for 24 hours

Benefit to the Customer
- The Pump is Seal less Pump hence Zero Leakage from the Pumping System
- The Self Priming Pump has a suction lift of 5m and the pump is running without foot valve
- Pump is fitted with bush bearing and hence no lubrication is required
- Due to Seal less construction, there no slippage of Acidic liquid on the flooring resulting in Improved life of flooring
- Connected power is only 3 HP resulting in annual power savings of close to 35000 HP/Year compared to a connected power of 7.5 HP
